Every strategy on the rail is assembled from pieces you already know. Start with income: own 100 shares and sell a call against them — a covered call. The premium is yours today (the readout says you were paid); the price of that income is a ceiling on the upside, the flat shelf on the right. Same downside as plain shares; the cap is what you were paid for.
